Healthy Connections, Inc (HCI), a community health center in Western Arkansas, is seeking a Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to provide quality medical health services for the Polk, Montgomery, and Sevier counties area. Some of the duties of the PA would include primary and preventive direct patient care; charting through an EMR system; basic case management of patient population with the assistance of an LPN; provide follow-up care of patients, referrals and laboratory results; create care plans for complex patients; work as a member of the medical health team; participate in quality control peer chart review and all other quality control measures per HCI’s Quality Assurance Plan; and other duties as assigned.

 

HCI is a Federally Qualified Health Center offering quality medical, dental and social services to Western Arkansas. HCI operates three clinic sites in Mena, De Queen, and Mount Ida, Arkansas. A full support staff is available at all locations. Administrative staff is available to coordinate with patients, handle claims and enrollment, and handle executive, operations, and financial management.

Inside the Clinic

Working autonomously, MinuteClinic Nurse Practitioners (NP) conduct physical assessments, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and treat common conditions, provide screenings, interventions, counseling, and prescribe medications as needed to patients in specified age categories. 

  • Provide accurate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common family illnesses for patients over 18 months
  • Help patients manage their well-being with vaccinations and patient education

  • Identify opportunities within local communities for development of outreach activities

Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center (COCMHC) located in Norman, OK is seeking to fill flexible contracted positions for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at our primary care clinic.

 

Hours are flexible and pay is competitive. Experienced professionals preferred. This would be a great opportunity for someone wanting to pick up a few extra hours.

COCMHC was awarded a grant by SAMHSA to provide primary care services to the individuals already served at COCMHC. This program is a model pilot project in the nation to integrate primary and behavioral healthcare in the same setting and reduce the disparity in life-expectancy faced by individuals with SMI and/or substance abuse problems.

 

Position requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school
  • Licensure as required to practice in the state of Oklahoma
