Shelly Dawn Delaughter
This scholarship is awarded to honor the memory of Shelly Dawn DeLaughter. Shelly attended the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing. During school Shelly was diagnosed with a serious illness. Even with the diagnosis Shelly was determined to stay in school and complete her degree. After graduation, she worked at Oklahoma Memorial Hospital on the pediatric oncology ward for a little over a year before she got so sick she was unable to continue. Even then Shelly would recite the medicines, doses and what they were for so that when she went back to work she would still be on top of things.
