Rebecca Anderson Nursing Scholarship

Rebecca Needham Anderson, a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Oklahoma City area, was the only volunteer/support person to sustain injuries during rescue efforts following the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995. These injuries resulted in the loss of her life. Rebecca, the mother of four children, is a prime example of the acts of caring and valor that surrounded the tragedy.

Rebecca was greatly loved by her family, colleagues and friends for her boundless generosity. Even in her death, her giving spirit has continued through organ donation. This scholarship was established in her name as a lasting symbol to all the individuals who have contributed time, talent, love and concern.

Scholarship Criteria:

Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
Must be a student in the career mobility LPN to BSN program
Must have outstanding contributions to community service
Preference will be given to Oklahoma Residents
